Someone mentioned the other day that I haven't updated my blog in a while. Well.... Between Livejournal, Tribe, Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter I don't have time. Plus I didn't think anyone read this. :) But Big News for today. Over the weekend the owner of Roosters invited me to host the Wednesday night show on June 24th. The even better news was another booker friend of mine, on hearing I got the gig, called me up and suggested I host for her first to get warmed up. It's not the gig, it's that she liked me enough to take the time to call. Life is good.

I got an email from Roosters last night. My next competition night will be April 15th. The cool thing is that there's only gonna be seven other comedians, I think. At least, there were only seven others on the To: list on the email.
I think I've got a really good shot at winning the semi, if this is the case. I hope I can rally the troops to come out and support me.
I think it'd be a good idea to hit more open mics this month.

Performed at the comedy competition last night. Destroyed. Only brought two people and I still took third place. One of the waitresses said if I hadn't taken third I was gonna be their "Rooster's Pick" for sure.
My ego is bigger than my ass right now.

I auditioned for a movie over the weekend. I just heard back from the producer and I got the part of the Crazy Bum who gets his arm ripped off by the Zombie. A pivotal role, I'm sure!

I'll be performing on Wednesday, February 18th at 8PM, at Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale.
This is the preliminary round of the South Bay Comedy Competition and I could really use your support. This is the fairest of all the competitions, but I still need as many supporters as possible. If you've been holding out for my one big show, this is it. If I do well in this mother, I've got something good to put on my resume.

Happy New Year everyone! 2008 was, meh, so-so. Good and bad, up and down, etc etc. I've got a good feeling about 2009. It be better than 2008. Because if it gets any worse than 2008 then we're really, really fucked.

It looks like the woman running the comedy show at the Blue Lagoon is quitting. Not because it's doing badly, actually the show was packed last week when I hosted. (Yes, I rocked the house, I think.) It's just a pain in the ass for her. I think it's sad though. She's got regulars and I think she's getting it to the point where she could make some money.
But someone stole some expensive equipment and, frankly, dealing with comics can suck. It's amazing how much drama you get from people trying to be funny.
I hope she sticks it out. I love that room. I've got my fingers crossed.

Even though I knew this Thursday is the anniverary of 9/11, it being September 11th and all, I still decided to do a show.
At a semi-gay bar.
In Santa Cruz.
It'll be a learning experience, thats for damn sure.
But am I nuts for signing up for this? Do I talk about the elephant in the room, or just pretend it's any other day. Either way, I think the terrorists win.

I destroyed them last night at the Blue Lagoon. It took me hours to calm down afterwards. I didn't get to sleep until 3AM.
I did so well, I indulged in some daydreaming about what the plot of my sitcom will be.
Shut up! It could happen!
